DBDesigner 4: Open source的資料庫建模工具

資料庫建模(Modeling)工具始終都是商用軟體較符合使用，常見的有以下幾種：

  • Oracle's Designer©
  • IBM's Rational Rose©
  • Computer Associates's ERwin©
  • theKompany's DataArchitect©
  • Sybase's PowerDesigner©

DBDesigner 4則是一套功能完整的Open source建模工具，有Windows與Linux兩種版本，由其使用的資料庫連接方式：DbExpress推測，本軟體應該是使用Delphi+Kylix開發的。

試用後覺得值得使用，雖然似乎仍尚未相當穩定，偶爾會彈出錯誤視窗。常用的資料庫(Oracle、MS SQL Server、MySQL、Firebird等)都可連接，並具備Reverse engineering的功能。
ER Model的表示方法(Notation)有４種，各種不同的變形表示法都可以呈現。

    你好,我下載使用後,發現DB的connection一直無法成功連接(SQL2K5 Express) 不知道有什麼該注意的細節呢?謝謝
